Potamogeton: - not touched.
Erigeron (old stems) " .
Bear berry - shows no browsing but
deer are eating it heavily now.
Spruce - not touched except horning.
All willows in dry areas have been killed
but in the moist draws there is some
life near the bases of the tree clumps
These living twigs have been browsed 100%
of cases to a length of about 30 mm [millimetres].
Range conditions: on the flat tops of ridges feature more
Potamogeton + bearberry + Juniper of both
species. Grass less abundant but both
kinds represented.

Examined flat to south of cabin
Fenced Plot:- 30% bare earth, 40% of vegetative
cover = sage, 30% fine hair grass, 25% fine grass,
5% Erigeron, tall grass, Potentilla + another
grass.
In this unbrowsed plot - entering its
second fenced year, average heights of vegetative
elements are sage 47 mm. [millimetres], hair grass 60 mm [millimetres],
fine grass 50 mm [millimetres], coarse grass 150 mm [millimetres].
In comparison with open range
utilization shows as follows.
Sage average height 24 mm [millimetres], hair grass 42 mm [millimetres],
Fine grass 15 mm [millimetres], coarse grass only used about 50%
