  • Ovis canadensi [undelinlined] Jasper, Alta. [Alberta] Dec. [December] 24, 1944 On Old Fort Point counted a group of sheep not previously seen. They included 3 old rams 9 ewes and 2 lambs. Nursing [underlined] One lamb was seen to nurse for a few minutes. Jasper, Alta. [Alberta] Dec. [December] 26, 1944. Census. At 3 miles N. [north] of Jasper there was a bunch I have not seen previously it consisted of 12 [male symbol] (2-3 y [year]), 11 [female symbol], 6 lambs. On Devona road in one group 12 rams 2 ewes 1 lamb this bunch not seen by Jim [James Simpson] previously. Jasper. Dec. [December] 28/44.
