- Peromyscus m. [maniculatus]
Mt [Mount] Revelstoke B.C. [British Columbia] July 1st 1937. 6300'. Took a
Perry [Peromyscus] in trap last night. Tail rather longer than
artemisiae.
July 2/37 [1937] Saw a perry [Peromyscus] running about ranger's cabin
shortly after we moved in the evening.
July 4/37 [1937]. A fine old ad [adult] [male symbol] taken by [Ian McTaggart] Cowan
at corner of shack. All these perries [Peromyscus] taken so
far are in many ways dissimilar + the tails
all run longer than artemisiae - 96, 96, 99 +
100 m.m. [millimetres] are the tail lengths of specimens taken.
July 5/37 [1937]. Three in trap + this a.m. [morning] 1 ad [adult] [male symbol]
+ 2 juv [juveniles] both males. These juv [juveniles] are a very dark
slate gray. The ad [adult] + 1 juv [juvenile] were taken near cabin
+ the other juv. [juvenile] on side hill in valley 2 miles north east
of Rangers Cabin.
July 26, 1937. Common about Cabin 8
Seem to come in waves. Nothing in traps
for two or three nights then they will nearly
all contain "Perries" [Peromyscus].
