Scaup 8 ads. [adults]
No ruddies or coots
4 Greater Yellowlegs.
About a dozen red-wing blackbirds
July 8, 1949 Williams Lake.
Worked the S. [South] end.
Saw 16 western grebes of which 2 were
young. 6 nests, several of them looking
very new + unused, no eggshells around.
Coots:- 16 + 12 young, other young
were there but not seen.
Ruddies 2 broods of 6
Baldpate [female symbol]'s + 4, 11, 5, 12 + 7 extra [female symbol]'s.
Canvasback + 1 young.
[female symbol] scaup.
1 yng [young] mallard. + 5 ads. [adults]
3 Eastern Kingbirds nests with eggs, 6 prs [pairs]
catbirds, 3 or 4 pairs veeries at creek mouth.
