Crossing, these consisted of 2 grays +
another [word crossed out] group of 3.
Only kill noted as found was an
ad [adult] [female symbol] elk but he expresses the
opinion that the deer have been
drastically reduced.

First 2 wolves seen in summer
of 1943.
8 whitetails counted in summer of
1943, no sign of them in 1944 or 45 [1945].

Wolves (3) for first time, made
one transit + left down ghost
apparently without killing.
G.P. Woodworth ([Lake] Louise) no wolves
U.U. La Casse : Castle:- one animal seen
by section hands. One elk + 1 moose,
apparently wolf kills, found.

Matthews reports Indian Silas in June
found a wolf den 2 miles E [east] of the park
boundary on the Sask. [Saskatchewan] Adults a gray + a black.
cubs all black - 5 in numbers.
Wolf Scats. on Mt [mount] Edith Pass trail
