At 1/2 past 4 N.E. came to Anchor near Cadboro Bay Wind Light North East. --- Wednesday 26 N.E. Came in with swualls from N.E. At 10 squalls weighed & [and] worked up to Moresby Island. change Came to anchor at 5 P.M. Snow squalls all day. Men mostly drunk --- Calm Thursday 27th & [and] Came in calm. At 9 A.M. Snow, N.E. snow cold wind. Remained at anchor after all day. No chance to work up on at anchor act. [account] of Tides. Got word aboard --- Friday 28 N.E. At 10 a.m. weighed and 10:30 got snow to anchor in Bay N.W. of "Plumper Pass." Sea Very Rough. --- Saturday March 1st South This day came in with a strong East S.E. Breeze, too strong to give any prospect of being able to get to Lightship. Remained at anchor day. Rain squalls --- S. East Sunday March 2 Plumper South East gale. Remained at Pass Anchor all day near "Plumper Pass" Heavy Rain. --- Monday March 3 South Came in with heavy Rain. At 8 A.M. East weighed and stood for Lightship. Anchored at 11:30 Found no Howe Came in fine. Stood away for Sound "Howe Sound", Arrived at 4 P.M. Went ashorte for Coopering Casks. Heavy S.E. gales with heavy rain all night
