Peterson Cr [Creek] Found + examined a colony
of pack rats. The nest was
placed between the rock
face of a cliff + a projecting
pinnacle and occupied a space
of about 7' x 6' x 1'. This
entire area was filled up
with vegetable debris of
all sorts, Bark of pine, fir,
saskatoon, rose + maple,
Wood + leaves from all the above
trees + shrubs. Dried grass
+ some smaller weeds, however
formed the main foundation
of the pile. Two paths led to
the nest, one from the south
+ one from the north. Running
up steep ledges from the foot
of the cliff. The number of
droppings on these trails
