- I saw specimens in his
possession of
Green-winged teal, Pintail
Mallard, Widgeon [Wigeon] + Buffle
head, Pied billed grebe,
[Northern] Hawk Owl, Golden Eagle
Red throated Loon (in breeding
plumage, Pacific Loon
(adult bird taken in the fall). House
wrens common in
migration, Olive sided
flycatcher seen by me,
+ a smaller flycatcher
(wrights?) taken. Yellow-
headed blackbirds nest
occassionally [occasionally]. Red polls
abundant in winter,
crows casual in
migration. Blue heron
seen once. Specimen
of goshawk.
Examined a specimen
(Trappers skin) of Mustela
longicauda - or probably
M. frenata oribasa in
Norman Schreiber's store
To his knowledge this
is the only one taken in
the vicinity.
