with recorders. He also caught the
large grey flying squirrel which had
made a nest in one of the boxes.
Besides Nancy [Mahoney]'s dove-tailed log
house with bachelor, we are now
searching for a tall, brunette Scotch
botanist for Tim [Miles Timothy Myres].
Westwick Lake Friday, May 13.
Weather: morning - overcast; afternoon -
fine alternating with windy thunder
storms with rain and hail; morning-
fine.
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] went up to Goldeneye Lake in
the morning, checking nests, while
Nancy [Mahoney] and I spent the morning
writing. In the afternoon Tim [Miles Timothy Myres]
fiddled with recorders, while Nancy [Mahoney]
and I walked around Sorenson
checking Grebes. There were nine:
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] discovered a bluebird's nest
in a hole by Matilda.
The spotted sandpiper seen May 11
is still there.
Nancy [Mahoney] and I were interrupted
on our way from Sorenson to
Westwick by tea, and then a
large thunder storm, so we
made dinner.
After dinner Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] visited the house
