50% or so larger than Zirfea [Zirfaea] crispata. Foot is
smaller more ovoid in face view,
with a longer "neck" portion

Splinter opening through mantle around foot
brownish yellow in Zirfea c. [Zirfaea crispata] pale in
Pholodidae [word crossed out] (-warty form) Z. [Zirfaea] pilsbryi
Ligament area on hinge small
+ almost circular in Z. [Zirfaea] pilsbryi whereas in Zirfea c. [crispata]
it is antero-posteriorly oval. Flesh color
of foot area + fleshy mantle suffused
with pink or smooth pink, white on
warty necked form.
