- Goldstream, V.I. [Vancouver Island] B.C. [British Columbia] Nov. [November] 2/41 [1941].
Parasites.
Shot a 5 mos [months] buck apparently in
good health.
Dictyolcaulus [Dictyocaulus] [underlined]:- Terminal margin of
diaphragmatic lobe consolidated +
red in appearance in marked
contrast to normal tissue which
was pinkish white. On gross
dissection walls of bronchi in
consolidated area showed clusters
of grape like - white appearing
tissue - possibly these represent
connective tissue aggregations in
bronchioles. Only two adult worms
were present in the larger bronchi.
Smears were taken of mucous
from the bronchi.
Moniezia [underlined]:- 5 present in
upper part of small intestine
Shortest 18 inches, longest 4 ft. [feet]
Another about 14" long in
greater omentum.
Oesophagostomum [underlined]:- 75 adult.
worms in cecum + colon.
