  • Dec. 22, 1886 On Nov. 10, 1886 Ye Xiang Ling reported to the police that Chen Zhen stole from his house some gold ornaments and clothes. Today Ye Xiang Ling says that it was his mistake to have wrongly accused Chen Zhen, because it was dark at that night he took Chen Zhen for the thief. Ye Xiang Ling apologized to Chen Zhen and would restore good relations. Chen Zhen could not bring a charge against Ye Xiang Ling for his wrong accusation. Ye Xiang Ling, Chen Zhen and their families shall be on good terms in the future. This record is submitted to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association in Victoria as proof.
