Reprod. [Reproductive] Organs: A little blood in vaginal opening +
this animal was shot + died without struggle. She
bore 7 new embryos, or are they embryos? They seem
on dissection to be placental scars. At each site there is a thickening
of the uterine wall on the mesometrial side. This is crypt-
like, + contains a granular, blood colored mass in 2 of
which we find slightly elongated whitish objects of
2mm [millimeter] total length. These do not look like embryos
+ there is no sign of a blastocyst. There [illegible word crossed out] is a clot
15mm [millimeters] long firmly connected to two of the "scars"
in the left horn. To me this looks like a recent
birth, but the mammary glands are dry. Nipples
large but still with fine fuzz to the apex.
Ovaries + portions [words underlined] of scars saved.
Appear to be 6 old placental scars.
