- Carex that extends as a large
wet meadow for 3/4 mile +/-
up the influent creek at the
Southern end.
Around the lake shore are
groves of poplars + quite
large stands of pine + spruce
The lake shores are fairly
steep.
In my estimation the lake
is a moderately good muskrat
prospect but has little value
for beaver development.
West creek + Pantage creek
would both make good
beaver developments if
the trappers could be
persuaded to look after the
situation.
Wildfowl are numerous
Saw Baldpate [female symbol]'s + 5, 9, 6, 5, 5, 7
+ 22 adults.
Geese:- ad [adults] + 5, 9, 6, 5, 2 ads [adults] +
7, 6 + several others that
scattered.
Green winged teal [female symbol] + 2
Mallard [female symbol] + 4
Many holboell grebes.
100 +/- Black terns with
young flying + near flying
