saw my head come round
a rock as I was on hands
+ knees examining plants,
Doe snorted + yearling
bounded straight away
+ out of sign without
pausing. Doe ran 30 yards
+ stopped, looked back, +
began to snort + stare,
Each snort was accompanied
by a stomp of one or both
front feet. In snorting
she raised her upper lip
slightly, thus wrinkling
her nose. As in the case
of the buck she finally
worked herself into a
bouncing excitement +
ran off. Only went about
50 yds [yards] + began feeding
aga [word crossed out]. Later she saw me
in motion + ran off
out of sight - at least
400 yards.
All deer were bedded in the
open.
