lacustre [underlined] 100% browsed but only the leaves,
generally so that the bushes are not
distorted - spines may be of survival
advantage. Rosa gymnocarpa [underlined] 75% leaf
browed + fruits. Salmonberry moderately browsed
Bracken growing in areas sufficiently
moist to let it reach a height of
3-4 feet or over heavily browsed,
less than 3 ft [feet] not touched. Alnus
rubra, [underlined] Salix [illegible word crossed out] Scouleriana [underlined] + S. [Salix]
lasiandra [underlined] utilized moderately at
this date. One or two sword
ferns had been tipped + some
low cedars, sprouting from cut
stumps heavily cropped probably
in the late spring. Flower heads
of Gnaphalium microcephalum [underlined] eaten
