- 8 mile Mt [Mount] Revelstoke. July 19, 1937.
Skinned the catch in the
morning - 4 Microtus mordax -
2 Peromyscus, 2 Sciurus, 3 Black
capped chickadees, 1 White-winged
Crossbill.
In the afternoon we went
up to 6000' to collect some
groundsquirrels.
In the evening I shot 2
[male symbol] Lepus. + Stewart [Racey] shot a very
large [male symbol] Erethizon.
This morning Mr [Kenneth] Racey saw
a small group of Chestnut-backed Chickadees
Mt. [Mountain] Bluebirds 3, Red-Tailed Hawk 2 (one
taken, Olive sided Flycatcher - 2, Macgil-
livray's Warbler 2, White winged crossbills
6, Pine grosbeak (at 3400') 2, Evening
Grosbeak 1, Juncos 4, Chipping
Sparrow 2, Olive backed Thrush 6,
Ruffed Grouse 1.

Beautiful day - Traps held practically
nothing. Spent the entire day
making up yesterdays take of
groundsquirrels + rabbits.
In the evening walked up
the road to the area of deciduous
woods where the rabbits are most
