- May 27. [1932] Left 10 mi [mile] Lake at 10 o'clock
+ arrived at our car at 11:30
after an uneventful hike.
The farmer donated a two
pt. [point] mule Deer head shot
last winter, also said he
had shot another with
horns shaped like a cow. Found
someone in our old camping
spot so camped a couple of
hundred yds [yards] higher up the
river. At supper time a
weasel was hunting around
the camp but I couldn't get a
shot at it. Set 3 weasel traps.
New birds:- Blue winged teal, Red
wing Blackbird, Chipping Sparrow,
Redstart. Black Tern, Bonaparte
Gulls
May 28 [1932] Spent the day fixing up
our new camp + skinning
the catch of yesterday. Saw
Townsend warbler + female
Redstart. There is a small
flycatcher around camp
