At 2:30 drove into town + took the
old airport road. This landed us
out at Onward Ranch. In town made
a dentists appointment for Ester [Esther Marion] for
11 tomorrow - intended to shop but this is
Wednesday.
In evening met Buster Suarty, foreman
of Alkali Lake ranch.

Weather: dawning fine at 5:30. Around
7:00 wind rose suddenly from the
North, followed by snow (1") melted
by 11:00. Windy in gusts all day,
dropping at sunset. Occasional snow
flurries. No wind at Williams Lake.
Dr. [Mary?] Taylor and Dr [Ian McTaggart] Cowan left
at 9:30 A.M.
Nancy [Mahoney], Mary [F. Jackson] and I left for
Williams Lake at 10:15, to shop
and replace my lost filling. As the
dentist did not arive [arrive] till 1:30 P.M., we
shopped and drove up the old road
north out of town and saw the
Fraser Canyon. Returned at 2:45.
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] saw 3 European starlings
flying over the camp at 12:00. The [they]
fed in the meadow for about a
minute and then went off (?)
up Sorenson (?). There was
