Watched the courting performance of a
group of mergansers on Talbot Lake.
The males would cut back + forth
in front of the swimming female
with tail erect + emitting a low pitched
gobble. Every 30 seconds or so one
would flip up a column of spray
behind him with a flick of one foot.
