ridgetop. 54 Pellet groups
Aug [August] 18/50. [1950] Campbell River.
Broke camp today + came out to
the river. On the way put in
Plot 7 on first road to the right
after crossing Elk Falls dam
down about 100 yds [yards] +
plot begins at post driven into
top of large fir stump on left
side of road. Runs North.
Very difficult cover to count
pellets in but cleared 32 groups.
Aug [August] 19/50 [1950] Campbell River.
Brought the Bendell's out of
Quinsam Cabin.
Aug [August] 20/50 [1950] Cowichan Lake.
Left Campbell River + came
down here with a pause in
Nanaimo where I put Yvonne Bendell
on the boat, picked up Mr [Kenneth] Racey +
left the squirrels with Greenfield
to ship on Monday morning. Set
up camp at Cedar Cottages.

Made a preliminary patrol on
Bald Mt. [Mountain] saw few grouse + no [illegible word]
