- Hyla [tree frog]
Aug [August] 31/42 [1942] Royal Oak pond was visited
in connection with Amphibian section
picture and was found to be done
dry. "August" title was taken.
Pond behind Lohbrunners was also
visited + found to be dry, even the
deep hole.
Young Hyla of the year were abundant
as many as 3 were seen sitting together
on one blade of sword grass and as
many as a dozen were seen in one
small bush. Nearly all were in
the shade - too dark to photograph, so
a dozen or so were collected + taken
to the Museum to be photographed later.
