Breeding:- One ewe was very nearly in
oestrus and one ad [adult] ram kept
right behind her just as does a
domestic bull under similar
circumstances. There was no 'running'
of the ewe. Three times he mounted
but the ewe moved off. On one
occassion [occasion] another old ram
approached but he was shouldered
aside.
The 4 yr [year] old was very active
dashing about from ewe to ewe
without much regard for their
condition of receptivity. When
he ap [word crossed out] came near the one ewe
in oestrus the old ram sometimes
ignored him, but twice or three
times made a short rush at him.
