[British Columbia] July 12, 1936. Chipping sparrows here are feeding the young out of the nest. Found in scattered family groups along the edges of the aspen woods. Ootsa Lake B.C. [British Columbia] July 25, 1936. Flocking for migration Saw a flock of about 40 today. They were feeding in the long grass of an open hillside. Victoria, B.C. [British Columbia] April 14, 1939. Several singing males arrived this morning. Quarantine Lake. July 29/39 [1939]. Abundant + with many well grown young some of which the parents were still feeding. Victoria. April 15/1940.
