Trichuris [underlined]:- 6 specimens taken from caecum
below entrance of small intestine = upper
8" [inches] of colon - Vial accidentally broken +
specimens lost -
Capillaria? [word crossed out] Nematodirus:- very abundant in small
intestine.
Tapeworm [underlined]:- one small one in small intest. [intestine]
Cysticercus tenuicollis [underlined]:- 2 large ones on
omentum. In the cyst [?] with one of them
was a small (1 cm [centimeter]) clear rod shaped body. This
saved also.
Lung worm [underlined]:- In the posterior lobe of each
lung were 10 or 12 lesions each
almost circular + about 15 to 20 mm [millimeters]
in diameter + of varying depths. These
showed yellowish white from the surface
+ on [one] section with a centre of darker
yellow. In each of them from 3 to
10 or 12 very fine lung worms were
found. Specimens + fixed tissue saved.
There were scars on both lungs
giving evidence of prior injury.
In spite of the heavy parasitism the
goat was in good condition.
