- Ovis canadensis [underlined]
All three were old rams with full
curl horns measuring about 26" with
12" +/- base.
On Sofa Mt [Mountain] found many fresh
beds high up under the rim rock.
The sheep were seeking the shade of
the east facing cliffs in the heat
of the afternoon.
Dormer Cabin Aug [August] 10/1945
Plenty of old sheep sign on the
hills north of the cabin but recent
sign suggests that only a few head.
G. [George] Harrison tells me that in former

the Panther from Sulphur Springs. Noted
a sharp decrease some 8 years ago.

BruceMitchell saw 14 rams when he was coming
over the summit today. There is a
lick just before the trail breaks off
down to the Dormer Cabin.
Disease [underlined] Found a forearm with some
arthritic dipping around the joint.
Found a skull. dead 7 or 8 years
one horn broken about 15 inches
from base. Broken off some time
before death.
