  • 38 Okanagan Falls. June 26/36. [1936] Went down W [West] side of River + Vasseaux [Vaseaux] Lake to a huge cliff where I hoped to find Canyon Wrens. Did a prodigous [prodigious] amount of climbing at 100 [degree symbol] but no luck. Shot + lost a swift. Time to hunt for Wrens is early May when they are singing Saw 21 geese on Dog Lake. 3 families of 5 young. The nests were on a small island at the S. [South] end of the lake June 27/36 [1936] Penticton. Okanagan Falls to " Hunted for young Harlequin Ducks in Creek coming in from west of city, also for chats + Canyon wrens along road down E. [East] side of lake south of city. Took 2 chats. House Finches are nesting in Penticton. June 28/36 [1936] Penticton to Kamloops. June 29/36. [1936] Kamloops to Quesnel. June 30/36 [1936] Set up camp at 10 mile Lake rained torrents all afternoon + evening.
