50 +/- Mallard on Cowichan Bay.
90 [female symbol] on Quamichan Lake.
March 10, 1940. Millstream.
First brood of mallard
ducklings seen. Just out of the
egg.
May 28/42 [1942] Burnaby Lake.
40 +/- males and a small number
of [female symbol]'s in evidence. No young seen here
but well grown young near Cloverdale
