  • Journal 147 move to their summer range. Came into an interesting lot of damp spruce woods, on the N. [north] side of the peak, where rabbits were abundant. Saw 2 [female symbol] + 1 [male symbol] deer. Ashnola July 6 Rained hard all day, spent the time writing reports " July 7/51. [1951] Hiked into Cathedral Lake today. It was hot + the climb tedious. About 14 miles of steady upgrade. The alpland area at the lake is most interesting + I would like to have stayed longer. than just overnight. A little old mouse sign (Phenac.
