Wiers [Weir's] Beach + Whittys [Witty's] Lagoon.
Time 1:30-4:30. Bright sunshine,
Light winds.
Esquimalt Lagoon.
100 +/- Coot
200 +/- Widgeon [Wigeon]
200 +/- Shovellor
250 +/- Canvasback.
25 +/- Scaup.
100 +/- Mallard
50 +/- American Merganser
500 Short billed Gulls.
50 Pintail
7. Hooded Merganser
2. White winged Scoters.
200 - Buffle Head.
At Wiers beach 5 mallard, 40
Buffle Head, White winged + surf
Scoters.
There were huge numbers of
Buffle head together with scoters,
Old squaw + some scaup all
the way along the shore line
