- I took the canoe down
Westwick in the morning, and
again in the afternoon. It was
too rough to come back in the
afternoon, so I tied the canoe
to a fence and walked back. I
discovered a blue bird's nest with
6 eggs, and a swallow's nest
with 4 eggs. I went back in
the boat and watched grebes.

In the morning, I watched grebes
around Sorenson, Nancy watched
them on Westwick, and Tim [Miles Timothy Myres]
watched buffle heads.
In the afternoon, I pollinated
violets, and Nancy [Mahoney] and Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] walked
around Sorenson sawing out
nests and banding flickers (1 brood of 8)
They checked 2 bluebird's nests, and
one vesper sparrow; found 2
bluebird's nests and one vesper nest.
They found three rotten buff [bufflehead] eggs
(old.) in a hole.
I found a Brewers blackbird
nest with five eggs - under a
