Mammals.
Tracks of deer, coyote
+ sign of marten seen.
Mr Maxwell, Gov't [Government] agent in
Revelstoke, tells me that
there are no caribou or
grizzly near here. That
caribou cross near Albert
Canyon.
Whistlers, rock rabbits.
numerous, Columbian ground
squirrels everywhere on
the south slopes, not
nearly so abundant on
the north slopes. Several
chipmunks seen, one
squirrel, + one porcupine
Took on [male symbol] whistler, 2
chipmunks, 1 Pika +
Fox Sparrow. Mr [Kenneth] Racey
took a Peromyscus another
Pika, a [male symbol] marmot and
a hermit thrush.
