- Aklavik. July 2/47 [1947].
N.K. Lang gives me added information
on the epidemic disease that killed the
foxes in 1944-45. He found 5
dead that year + has seen several
dead ones since. Mr McLeod of
R.C.C.S. saw two dead this spring
but [N.K.] Lang comments that he has
seen pups this spring for the
first time in 2 years.
Rabbits were quite common
when the foxes died. Disease
started North + moved South across
the delta.
Aklavik. July 19/47. [1947]
Saw a red fox today about 10 miles
down Schooner Channel.
Aklavik. July 21/47 [1947]
Saw a moulting red fox half
way to [Bert] Boxer's.
