The Dock?weed 1-B-11 and the
thistle 1-B-12 grow among
the tall grass 1-B-13

Chipmunk About 4 per mile, restricted
for the most part to the
areas covered with saskatoon b. [berry]
maple + snow berry. And to
the cliff areas on which these
plants (shrubs) form pract [crossed out]
practically the only green vegetation
Squirrel. I am not quite certain as
to the number present, though
I think that at this time of
the year 5 per mile is
not stretching it too much.
in this district the squirrels
are migratory [underlined], in the spring
+ early summer all the
squirrels were in the
Bull Pine areas on the higher
hills about 2 miles away.
But now that the fir
cones are ripening they
