- Tuesday, Ap 30 C.F.V. all morning. Gave Karl 12 pp to type. Wrote two more. With Salamo and Gelat to Ca'n Medo Ca'n Madó . Watched (16) men at work. Gelat says that at Lluchmayor he found high-tension turbine alternadoras transformers for Valldemossa scheme and other electrical equipment which he can buy very cheap. Schwarz says that List [Verlag] is foxing: can get money paid. Telegram from List asking consent for sale of 6000 copies to a book-club; the money due to me being ½ 1200 marks or about £ 50. Letter from Honor that she & Gordon will come with Mary Philips on 16th. Laura Karl & I went to village to ask Gelat if the Cura could get out sooner: he will ask the proprietario about this. If impossible, the Viña Vieja for a time. Recuyell of Histories of Troy came. Gelat has oak-trunk at Son Rullan in a deposito to make round oak table. Earthquake identified as one in Azores.
