- March 12 Saturday. Austrian sensation clouds the day. To Mills (closed) so to old man in East Street & bought 3/6d worth of marbles. Filled a bottle with them as a flower vase. Back across Spring-like Park. Proofs of the Lawrence book all day. Harry worked with Laura in early afternoon. Karl chopped bit off forefinger. Solace a great nuisance with heat. Still jaw-ache.
