- Jan 22 Friday Honor came: she had a letter from George to show: dishonestly making use of H's feelings for L to compose a protestation of love. Laura advised. Honor to lunch. She will write a story for Epilogue . Fruit & flowers for Honor & Julian. A French dress ring for Jenny £1. Triumphall chariot in marble plaque from Caracalla's Baths 2/-: as paper weight. Sam found his ticket after all & sent it. Taking notes of Auden plagiarisms for next Epilogue after this. Laura writing letter to Majorca for this Epilogue . Honor's dream: Maisie announcing news ending: “I have one s.o.s. message. It is for L a u r a” Claudius . Harry after supper & out for a walk to S.F. cafe on Piccadilly Circus: hot roes on toast, coffee & walk by back by small streets full of night clubs.
