- Aug 1 Sunday. Rose late. 4 pages of Chapter 3 of Belisarius including a Latin set of verses about Christians as Rabbits & 4 Latin Lendecasyllabics. A walk with Laura & Norman through fields to Holmbury. Harry returned, silent & embarassed at our company. Putting with Norman. Jokes: Norman says “What a small place a dictionary is after all” More Sidonius Apollinaris & Milman's Latin Christianity . Drinks at the Crown : full of hikers & hikeresses. Solace the kitten caught her first (tiny) mouse.
