- Thurs. May 12 1938 In Church St market bought for 2/6 a Spanish or Moorish coffee-tray stand in lemon, mulberry, bone, horn, ebony, tortoiseshell & nacre inlay. In afternoon cocktail party at Capes with Laura. Met various ex-friends – Edward O'Brien, Strong, etc and a horrid Fascist Board of Trade man, Ronald Frazer. Honor to supper.
