Shanghai and Guling, 1922-1924 [photograph album]
The album begins with photos of the Hotel Kalee in Shanghai in February 1922 along with a portrait of Hudec as a young man. Then there is a series of photos in October 1922 of 10 Ferry Road, around Shanghai, and Woosung. Then a series of photos of Hangchow [Hangzhou] in eastern China from April 1st through 4th in 1922 with scenes of people being carried by litters and in rickshaws along a dirt road, temples, lakes, parks, scenic overlooks, parks, and city life. Then to Kuling [Guling], China in August of 1924, now a World Heritage Site, showing scenes of the summer resort built on Mount Lu, the Russian Valley settlement, Nangkow Pass, Three Trees, Emerald Pool, Horse-tail Waterfall, an Old Pagoda, Incense Mills, Three Waterfalls, Lions's Leap, Fairy Glen, Sunset Ridge, and the road to Kiukiang. The album concludes with images of Kiukiang [Jiujiang].
