  • July 18 Monday Cleaning out kitchen. Patching attic against bats. Green shutters also on windows. Went to Montauban on M. Levril's bicycle*: applied for telephone – found we were postally at Boisgervilly not Montauban. (M. Pinson helped) looked for a servant. A lawyer M. Henri Belloir talks English. Found a girl, Yvonne Le Gault, niece of La Petit Chevrie No bats tonight * first time on a bicycle I think since 1928
