Download PDFOriginally published under the name The Manitoba Women’s Newspaper in 1979, Herizons published its first magazine edition in 1983. The magazine had grown to become national in scope and readership by 1985. Herizons went into hiatus from 1987 to 1992, when it was resurrected by two former staff (Penni Mitchell and Patricia Rawson) who were joined by a group of feminist volunteers. Herizons marked its 30th anniversary in 2022. Herizons publishes social commentary on art, culture, and legal/political/community affairs related to gender, race, and sexuality.
