- Jan 1 1936 Wednesday McCormacks to lunch. Are taking Casa Salerosa on from January 15 for 2 months. Also visit from Madora & Magdalena & Francisquito who brought a present of a red pencil. Karl has dysentery, is in bed. Letters from David, Catherine, Sam. No work today Walk along road with Laura by (warm) moonlight. Decided today to make patio dining room, bedroom above; open maids' room under the front door. Carl had several hot bottles & hot manzanilla with mint. Girls went to the Baile .
