• Feb 8 Monday. Hunting for flats: Str. & Schw. helped. Nearly took one in Paradiso but L thought it not quite the thing. L. bought a gun-metal watch 10 francs & had a hair cut. Otherwise nothing today except airy food & I slept in afternoon. Fall of Malaga reported. Gave acorn earrings, silver buckle & Victorian stamp-box to Str. & Schw.
