An interview/narrative of John Calder's experiences during World War II. Flight Lieutenant Calder served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Interview took place on February 16, 2005.

ABSTRACT: Flight Lieutenant John M. Calder Royal Canadian Air Force Calder_J_0117_01.mp3 Flight Lieutenant Calder served with 235 Squadron in Coastal Command. He flew Mosquito's and Beaufighters. He was also awarded a DFC for his engagement with four Dornier 217s of which two were shot down and two were damaged. He was responsible for flying armed rovers, which were, essentially, seek and destroy missions. He also had the opportunity to escort a damaged aircraft into an airfield that was under fire.
