- Aug 11 Sunday. To sea with Solomon. The eternal Gordon is all right again, Honor says. Went over some of Karl's Richards' typing and began to write introduction. Very oppressive weather. Laura & I talked of supper at Costa d'Or but didn't go. Laura wrote "We are the Resurrection" poem & read it to me: went over my recent poems with me. It was agreed to scrap Address to Myself & I to rewrite two more. To village, where Gelat told us of a visit to the road of another colonel, disguised as a peasant. Nice letter from Gordon confirming Honor's view. Thelen has apparently finished translating the Schwarz book. Bed early.
