Letter from Walter Shewring to Herbert Read, October 19, 1946
Part of a collection of letters to Sir Herbert Read from Walter Shewring. Shewring is most well known for his translation of Homer’s “Odyssey”, but in addition to translating, he also wrote essays and poetry. In this letter, Shewring thanks Read for the letters and reports that the copyist had made no major errors. He also writes that the odds of his book being published early are low.
