- Nov 26 Friday 8 pages Belisarius chapter XXI, and adding to yesterday's work. In afternoon met Clarissa (late) at the Albert Memorial & walking through Kensington Gardens, then to Philip's – met Kitty, for the first time since 1916, and Rubin, a Tel-a-Viv Tel Aviv artist (with a rich American wife) who paints successful water-colours; and Sally with whom I went back in a taxi to Hampstead where she gave me the Institutes & Rufin Rutilius's poem. Then to Adler's with Laura & Tanny – who stayed to supper. Laura bought a black velvet evening gown for 12 guineas. To bed at 1.15.
