- Monday Ap 29th Worked at C.F.V. all morning. Brought Laura's Troy material to Can Torrent where she will work in the big room. Salamo & I to Ca l'Abat to pay for Easter hen (10.50 [pts]) and order a new one. Gelat has bought wire to give us water in the garden, by electric pump, for the two months or so that we must wait for the water from the new fuente . Miguel making gauze netting for the windows. C.F.V. in evening. Liverish for the last few days: have been eating too many beans. The pomegranate has died: the third one planted in that spot. I said to Gelat, Let's try something else next year — a cherry or a plum. “No,” he said angrily “let's see who tires first, the pomegranate or me.”
