• Oct 25 Monday. Heavy weather: 11 pages Belisarius . Harry & Alix to London to see Abou Kayer & flathunt. Alan in afternoon — to cheer up us up. Talked about about Greed & Laziness: went for walk in growing Thunderstorm (L, Alan, Karl & I) & after supper talked about literalness. I went over Year of Damage for shortening – because Constable & Heinemann both reported it lacked vitality. L & Alan discussing an a W.H.Auden article for him to write.
